![]() Did I mention you can guide your (otherwise useless) allies in war? For yes, now you can. All religions in the game can access at least one of those, where you can find both new challenges and new boons to your character's rule - once you join Societies you'll always feel like "missing something" when not in one. Monks & Mystics: An insane amount of events here improve peacetime gameplay even more, courtesy of Societies. Its features are also universal, enjoyed across all faiths/cultures. Epidemics serve not just to force you to think ahead and deal with a gameplay problem that doesn't involves a giant doomstack, but also help stabilize long-term performance as characters drop off dead like flies (and this is good). The Reaper's Due: Prosperity & Depopulation gives CK2 a new pseudo-economic layer to think about. It not only provides an incredibly useful gameplay tool that helps you tailor your character however you want (the focus system), but also helps picture Medieval Europe's daily life. ![]() Way of Life: Everybody's number #1 pick for good reason, Way of Life gives your characters hundreds of events about your lifestyle and hobbies. Somewhat Recommended: May sound weird but it's actually pretty cool. Mostly Recommended: Takes gameplay a step ahead and enriches the experience, but not crucial.Ĭontextually Recommended: If you like playing, you gotta have it. Highly Recommended: Full of interesting features, improving gameplay all around. Must Get: Awesome enough that you can hardly imagine a playthrough without it. ![]() The DLCs bellow are ranked in different tiers (but there is no ranking within the tiers themselves, mind you) no DLC is truly required for a good experience and all DLCs can provide a nice alternative experience, but they definitively got big differences in overall worth.
